The Prodigal Son

So the story of the prodigal son comes forth as a story to teach us all a lesson. Jesus tells the story of an older son and a younger son who have it all wrong. Isn't that what our dilema in life is? Who is right, who is wrong? This story claims that no one is right and that only when we give up our lives then we will find our true calling... to be children of God.

year of promise

So the prophetic word on the street is that 2011 is a year when promises will be fulfilled. It started out with a bang.. my friend met a man...she says he will be her husband, another friend is expecting a child, some connections were made for a job to open up and new aspirations are flying all over.

My question is how do we know what God's promise is? One friend says that God told her to stay married to her unfaithful husband...because the promise is that the marriage will heal. I have felt things from God before...but I am not certain of any promises.

I am looking forward to this year of promise...I just don't know exactly what to expect. Oh that's right, I asked God to surprise me...just this morning.
